Karen Carabio
Karen is certified by the American Council on Exercise (ACE) as a Personal Trainer, and by the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFFA) as a Group Fitness Instructor. She is a certified *Spinning instructor and Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher, and has completed the Stott Pilates Intensive Mat teacher training course. She has taken the Sierra Club's Basic Mountaineering Training Course and Leadership Training Course and volunteered as an Outings Leader with the Sierra Club. She is a graduate of NOLS (National Outdoor Leadership School) and Outward Bound. Her greatest passion is inspiring others to create a fit and healthy lifestyle for themselves.
Sally Easdon
Sally began practicing Inyengar yoga in 1997, while a student at UCSD, finding much relief from the stress of graduate school. Upon returning to Reno in at the end of 1998, she began extensively practicing and studying Power and Ashtanga yoga. Sally has been teaching power yoga in the Reno area for the past five years. Sally holds a BA in Spanish Literature from the University of San Francisco and a MA in Latin American Studies from UCSD. Sally enjoys traveling and spending time in the great outdoors during her free time.
Keri Huddleston
Keri (RYT-200) started practicing yoga after injuring her back in a motorcycle accident. She began taking Iyengar Yoga with her mentor Nelda McGee and soon moved on to Power and Ashtanga Yoga. Keri completed her 200 hour training under Doug Swenson, renowned Ashtangi and creator of Sadhana Yoga Chi. Additionally, she has attended workshops and classes in Acroyoga, The Rocket Series, Core Power, Anusara, and Sivananda. Keri has been teaching since 2005 and enjoys an athletic practice with an emphasis on flow, prana, and maintaining a sense of humor as yoga has brought great joy to her life.
Kelly Krueger
Kelly received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Nevada Reno in 1999 and works as the Corporate Sales Manager for the Eldorado Hotel Casino. She has always had a passion for fitness she inherited from her father. She played competitive soccer for four years, ran track, cross country and still competes in competitive distance runs. Kelly received her certification from Madd Dog Athletics to teach spin in 2006. In her spare time, Kelly and her husband John enjoy trail running with their dogs, playing soccer, mountain biking and snow boarding together. Kelly enjoys sharing her enthusiasm for fitness and encouraging others to be healthy.
Lora Rose Richards
Lora Rose began a dedicated yoga practice in 2004. Her yoga mat has been there by her side no matter what -- good, bad, and indifferent. Yoga never lets her down. In 2007, she began studying Tibetan Buddhism and Heart Yoga with Sarah Class and others who follow the teachings of Geshe Michael Roach and Lama Christy McNally. Her interpretation of yoga is inspired by her ardent admiration of other ACHIEVE Fitness instructors including Victoria Randlett, Karen Carabio, Sally Easdon, and Keri Huddleston. She is often found practicing at Achieve and usually has her mom, Lillian, practicing with her. Lora Rose grew up in Truckee, California, and holds a master's degree in geography from California State University, Chico. She works in water conservation and community outreach.
Melissa Sewell
Melissa started teaching fitness classes in 1996. She figured she wasn't getting any younger, so why not now? Her primary certification is through AFAA and Pilates certification through the Pilates Coach. She then started teaching step classes and moved on to kickboxing after falling in love with it in 1998. Melissa began teaching Pilates classes about 4 years ago and it has become her new passion. In addition to all her active teaching, she loves skiing, hiking, mountain bike riding, and is now learning to whitewater kayak.
Debby Lammam
Belly Dance Classes with Debby open to all-levels. With over 30+ years dance training experience, Debby integrates solid technique from American Cabaret and Tribal Fusion styles in a fun, high-energy class. Debby has trained with Fairuz, Jamila Salimpour, Suhaila, Shereen El Safy, and has ballet, jazz and African dance experience. You will learn the fundamentals of belly dance, complex layering techniques, core isolations, and musicality.
Holly Robey
Holly teaches the strength training, cardio and conditioning classes: Power Cardio, Power Pump, and BOSU Conditioning.
Megan Seivert
Megan is certified in Group Fitness by AFAA. She teaches BOSU Conditioning.
Archie Samples
Archie teaches Kickboxing classes.
Abigail Schulz
Abigail is certified in mat and reformer Pilates with The Pilates Coach and Balanced Body Pilates all in 2007. Her main focus is on alignment and strength in the muscles that enable proper joint movement, while building long, lean muscles. Breaking a sweat is also on her agenda! Abigail is a certified spinning instructor with Maddog Athletics and is certified in personal training and group exercise with AFAA. She is currently (in 2010) studying health sciences at UNR and enjoys many activities during her free time, such as cycling, running, pilates and yoga.
LaRonda Etheridge
LaRonda was certified in group fitness through ACE in 2007. She currently teaches Ballet Body and Power Up. She also subs for spin classes.
Lily Egan
Lily teaches Yoga Basics on Saturday mornings. She has been certified by the Chopra Institute in mind\body education.
